PermanentFarming Expands with New Barn Construction Capability

and the Addition of Industry Veteran Bill Rubis

DES MOINES, Iowa – As a critical component of its mission to transform the beef cattle industry through integrated food, fuel, and fertility systems, PermanentFarming has formed a barn construction division headed by industry expert Bill Rubis, chief executive officer Steve Polski announced today.

Rubis, who joins the company as division executive vice president, has more than 20 years of industry experience and has been involved in the construction of more than 500 slatted-floor covered barns across the Midwest.

“Bill’s experience ensures that PermanentFarming can help producers build systems that don’t just house cattle but power the future of sustainable agriculture,” Polski said.

PermanentFarming’s business model begins with the construction of barns that offer a smarter, more effective way to raise beef cattle. The resulting efficiencies help beef producers turn livestock manure into a profitable revenue source through advanced anaerobic digesters that convert waste into biogas and renewable natural gas. Finally, the company’s soil fertility services complete the integrated cycle by transforming manure byproducts into high-performance organic and bio-based soil amendments that improve soil health, microbial activity, and crop yields.

Polski said PermanentFarming “is committed to becoming the leader in slatted-floor covered barn builder for the beef cattle supply chain in the United States.” He added, “With barn capacity of more than 175,000 head of cattle already built by our talented team, we have the expertise and the experience to make our goal as the industry leader a reality as part of our broader vision to deploy more than 100 integrated projects across the country.”

Polski said Rubis’s “industry knowledge is matched only by his passion to help the cattle industry and individual producers thrive.”

“Bill understands what it takes to get the economics of cattle raising right by designing and building right-sized, slatted-floor covered barns that ensure safety, cattle comfort, productivity, feed conversion improvement, and long-term results,” Polski said. “Cattle producers across the Midwest can attest to Bill’s role as the difference maker in their success by building facilities where the sum is greater than the parts. Our entire team is thrilled to have Bill Rubis join us to move PermanentFarming forward as we deploy innovations that will create new revenue streams and advance sustainability for beef producers across North America.”
